Manang

Manang is a prominent trekking destination situated along the renowned Annapurna Circuit. The spectacular scenery comprise mountains rising directly from the valley floor, which averages 3,400m in elevation surrounded by over 6,000m.

Sagarmatha National Park

Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site, is home to the highest peak of the world-Mt. Everest(8848m). With most of the part above 3,000m, Sagarmatha is rugged terrain with deep gorges, glaciers and huge rocks.

Nuwakot

Nuwakot has a historical significance that goes back to the era of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founder of Nepal. It was the capital of Nepal for about 25 years from 1801-1825 B.S. Nuwakot Durbar, Devighat, Trishuli Bazaar, Dupcheswor Mahadev, Kakani, Betrawati are some interesting places to visit here. The district has hydropower plants at Trishuli and Devighat.

Rara Lake

Rara lake (2,990m) is 167m at some places and drains into river Mugu Karnali via Nijar Khola stream. Water life in the lake recorded so far is the snow trout. The lake is surrounded by richly forested hills and snow capped peaks.

The Janaki Temple

The Janaki Temple in Janakpur is also known as Naulakha Temple and is dedicated to Goddess Sita, who was born here. A rare blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture, the temple is the first and the only example of its kind in Nepal.

Morang

The Morang plains stand out as one of Nepal's culturally diverse regions. The headquarter Biratnagar is the country's major indrustial center with major industries. Most of the land in Morang is cultivated with rice and jute as major produces.
